microsoft paint with its little scrolling tin of paint that hovers over words and colors, colors of fleshy pink and fuschia, or lime, lime green, or verdigris lining along rivered walls, bluish clouds that move with the strange murky water.

this green reminds me of a bright mellifluous sea-green in those indexes that i used to stare at as a child as i picked a color for my drawings of houses (i wanted to be an architect at 8) or even the days i would make inspirational powerpoints for myself, choosing the colors of all the backgrounds to make the presentation a little more radical. THIS was the green i chose so readily, my impulses crying out melodiously for its stabilizing qualities. i wonder if this green has strong energetic properties.

if it was a gemstone it would be like a jade green, which the Chinese hold with great importance for its divine healing purposes—or maybe it’s even closer to amazonite, which was said to have been worn by Cicero on his personal shield to embolden him with self protection. i like how colors have the magnanimous effects of changing how you feel. like how there are color horoscopes that determine your emotional well-being through the colors you choose. what does this green say about me?
