Growing up I was known as saj202ism or KaRaMeLKaT or a dozen plus other names. I was a 48 x 48 px icon with a cute, animated cactus hoping for a hug. I was a buddy profile filled with song lyrics and webding characters and best friends’ initials and countdowns. I was Century Gothic, bright pink or bright orange, occasionally bold. I was an away message with subtext. I only existed sometimes. There were times when I chose to be invisible. There were times when I didn’t exist at all.
